North Ridgeville Heart and Sole health collaborative invites residents to keep active at indoor walking and sample tasty smoothie recipes during two special nights in January, according to a news release.
The tastings are at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 18, at Liberty Elementary School, 5700 Jaycox Road in North Ridgeville; and at 5:30 p.m., Jan.. 22, at LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus, 32121 Lorain Road in North Ridgeville.
The smoothie demonstrations are hosted by the Lorain Public Library System North Ridgeville Branch, according to the release.
To participate, enter the building’s main doors and sign in at the indoor walking table.
There is no cost and all ages are welcome to attend, the release said.
If the school or building is closed due to holiday closure or weather, indoor walking is canceled, according to the release.
Indoor walking sessions continue throughout winter and spring.
• LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus from 5-7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Indoor walking ends March 27.
• Liberty Elementary School from 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Indoor walking ends May 23.
Heart & Sole is a community-based group powered by the United Way of Greater Lorain County and facilitated by Lorain County Public Health.
The collaborative includes partners from local businesses, agencies and organizations working to improve physical, social and mental wellbeing of those who live, work and visit the community, the release said.
