Animal Clinic Northview, located at 36400 Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville, soon will begin construction on an expansion to the facility.
Last month, the North Ridgeville City Council approved the plans.
North Ridgeville Deputy Clerk of Council Tina Wieber said the expansion will add eight exam rooms to create more space for people and their pets in the facility.
This comes after a recent renovation project that Wieber said took place around two years ago.
“They decided since finishing that renovation, that they need additional space for exam rooms,” she said. “The lobby was getting crowded with patients and they didn’t want any emergency situations sitting out in the lobby.”
Wieber said the community overwhelmingly has voiced support for the move.
“Everybody seems really happy with both that particular facility and the expansion,” she said. “A lot of people commented on what a good facility it is.
“It’s a good resource for citizens to have somewhere they can trust to take their pets to get cared for.”
The application to North Ridgeville Planning Commission stated that the addition will be 1,325 square feet on the southeast corner of the building and that it will not interfere with parking.
Wieber said the city does not have a hard date on when the expansion project will begin, but that people can expect it to start very shortly.
According to the clinic’s website, https://northviewvet.com/?utm_source=Website&utm_medium=GMB, since 1977, it has provided a broad range of services to the most advanced and modern technology available.
