For the record: Bay will be the only Morning Journal coverage area team to play on Saturday. Last year, Bay outlasted West Geauga, 27-21, in overtime, to start its season off 1-0. The Rockets this year plan to balance out their offense through the passing game. Quarterback Michael Farrell is a first-year starter at Bay with a solid arm to throw for receivers. Senior running back Brendan Spellman was an All-Ohio running back as a sophomore and fought injuries his junior year. Bay visioned him in the slot as well, which can get him the ball in a number of different ways. Bay should be favored in this matchup, as the Ironmen went winless last year.
