Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney announced Aug. 8 the closure of Capel Road, between Cowley and Station roads in Columbia Township, for the replacement of the Capel Road Bridge No 0609, according to a news release.
The cost of the project is $201,257, the release said.
Funding is available from the Ohio Public Works Commission in the amount of $148,930, according to the release.
The remaining $52,326 will be provided by the Lorain County Engineer through the County Engineer Motor Vehicle Gas Tax account, the release said.
The project was awarded to N & N Construction of Wakeman, the release said.
The work will begin at 8 a.m. Aug. 14 and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Nov. 10, weather permitting, according to the release.
Detour signs will be posted.
