Sandusky City Schools Board of Education member Thomas C. Patterson was selected as the Ohio School Boards Association’s president-elect nominee, according to a news release.
If elected during Ohio School Boards Association’s statewide conference in November, Patterson will become president of the organization in 2025 following his term as president-elect in 2024, the release said.
Patterson, who’s in his 18th year on the Sandusky City Schools Board of Education, first was elected in November 2001.
He currently serves on the Ohio School Boards Association’s Board of Trustees and is a member of the association’s Northwest Region Executive Committee.
Patterson served as region president in 2020.
His dedication to the Ohio School Boards Association also includes service on the association’s Executive, Nominating, Governance Review and Legislative Platform committees, Urban Network and Capital Conference Planning Task Force, according to the release.
Patterson received the Ohio School Boards Association’s 15-year veteran board member award in 2020.
