The Huron County Health Partners’ Steering Committee, comprised of the Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Huron County Public Health, Fisher-Titus Medical Center and Mercy Health – Willard Hospital announced the official completion and release of the 2023 Huron County Community Health Assessment, according to a news release.

The Community Health Assessment is a collection of information on the health status, quality of life, social determinants of health and risk factors impacting Huron County residents, the release said.

This county-wide health assessment was compiled to create a current snapshot of the health of Huron County residents and is intended to help community stakeholders better understand the health needs and priorities of Huron County residents, to ultimately help direct community resources to where they will have the biggest impact, according to the release.

The Huron County Health Partners’ Steering Committee hopes that the 2023 Huron County Community Health Assessment serves as a guide to target and prioritize limited resources, a vehicle for strengthening community relationships and a source of information that contributes to keeping people healthy, the release said.

“The Huron County Health Partners would like to thank all residents that participated in the surveying process and all community organizations that shared their time and expertise at the CHA kick-off meeting earlier this year,” the release said. “Without the support and input from the community, this work would not be possible.”
