The Avon High School Drama Club and Thespian Troupe 3229 will present “All Shook Up.”
Performances are 7 p.m., March 10 and 11, and 2 p.m., March 12, at the Avon Performing Arts Center at Avon High School, 37545 Detroit Road.
Strobe lights will be used during this production, according to a news release.
Including the cast, orchestra pit and tech crew, nearly 100 students are participating, the release said.
“When we look at selections (musicals) to perform, it’s always important to look at the students that we have, the energy they could bring to the show, the amount of guys and girls in a production, etc.,” said Michael Moyseenko, director and Avon High School choir director, in the release. “Then we look at the size of the show.
“Because we have this beautiful space, we want to fill it with a great size cast with lots of talents. We also have the new addition of our football players who have been joining us the last couple of years in our shows, so we want to make sure there is something for them as well.”
“All Shook Up” is inspired by and features the songs of Elvis Presley.
The show is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” the release said.
Advanced online tickets are $10 for adults, and $7 for students/senior citizens. Ticket at the door will be an additional $3.
