It’s that time of year again which means many businesses are decking the halls and preparing for visits from Santa and Brew Kettle in Amherst is no exception.

Opened in 2015 at the 300 Church St. location, Brew Kettle quickly has made itself a part of the community offering special events and fundraising for local groups.

One of the most popular events is Breakfast with Santa.

Jen Banks, an employee of Brew Kettle, said the anticipation for the event has been very high.

The event sold out earlier this month, Banks said.

It will take place Dec. 18 with three sittings, she said.

Each sitting is planned to be able to sit 50, culminating in 150 guests, Banks said.

Brew Kettle canceled the Santa breakfast in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It returned in 2021 in a socially distanced form and has returned to its full splendor this year.

“We wanted to do something to let people know that we are a family-friendly establishment,” Banks said. “Many people, when they look us up, see that we are brewery and think that we don’t allow kids, but that’s not the case.”

The staff will serve a family style breakfast complete with hot cocoa and cookies as well as free photos with Santa.

“We were booked very quickly in all locations, but we are looking into planning an event for Mother’s day,” Banks said.

Santa breakfasts will return next year.

Guests can look for a flyer on the 2023 event around November.

Reservations must be made for the event by calling the Brew Kettle.

“We in Amherst have always been a big supporter of the community, and we like to boost our food and award winning beer through any events we hold,” Banks said. “Even if the Santa breakfast is sold out, we are open every day of the week starting at 11 a.m., ready for guests to come in and try us out.”
