The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash Oct. 24 that left two people seriously injured in Huron County, according to a news release.
The crash occurred at 7:17 a.m. on state Route 60, south of Fayette Road in New London Township, the release said.
A 57-year-old New London man was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Impala north on Route 60, and a 36-year-old New London man was driving a 2018 Cadillac ATS following the Impala, the release said.
A 17-year-old New London youth was driving a pickup south on Route 60.
The Impala traveled left of center and sideswiped the pickup, according to the release.
The Impala went off the left side of the road and rested in a ditch.
The pickup lost control and traveled left of center striking the Cadillac, according to the release.
The pickup and the Cadillac went off the east side of the road and struck a mailbox and a house, the release said.
The 57-year-old man was transported from the scene by New London Fire Department to University Hospitals in Ashland, where he was later flown to Cleveland with incapacitating injuries; the 36-year-old was transported to Fisher-Titus Hospital by New London Fire Department with incapacitating injuries, the release said.
The teen was not injured and his 14-year-old female passenger was treated and released at the scene.
Everyone was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the release said.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in this crash, the release said.
