Lorain County Recorder Mike Doran, accompanied by his daughter and dedicated staff, continued a heartwarming tradition by delivering the annual office hat and mitten donation to Lorain County Children Services, according to a news release.
As part of their ongoing commitment to community outreach, Doran and his team collected a generous assortment of hats and mittens with their annual Giving Tree donation to support the children and families served by Lorain County Children Services, the release said.
Recognizing the importance of warmth and comfort during the winter months, the donation aims to bring joy and alleviate the challenges faced by those in need, according to the release.
Doran, a steadfast advocate for community engagement, expressed in the release his gratitude for the opportunity to impact lives of local children positively.
“Every child deserves to experience the warmth and joy of the holiday season,” he said. “Our annual hat and mitten donation is a small gesture that we hope will make a big difference in the lives of those facing adversity.”
Accompanied by his daughter and some of his dedicated staff members, Doran personally delivered the collection to Lorain County Children Services, where representatives of the organization warmly received it, according to the release.
“We love it when our first floor neighbors, Lorain County Recorder’s Office, brings up comfy, cute, and warm hats and mittens for the kids on our caseloads,” according to the Lorain County Children Services in the release. “There are always opportunities year-round to help Lorain County Children’s Services.”
