Crop comments: Olmsted Falls continues to dominate in the Southwestern Conference, including a 66-23 victory over Elyria. The Bulldogs have won five straight since an 0-2 start. … Avon Lake remained in second with a 54-28 win against Midview. … Elyria Catholic jumped into the top three with a victory over Cleveland Central Catholic, 61-22, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. … North Ridgeville fell to Strongsville, 62-50, then it bounced back with a 48-46 win against Avon. … The Eagles wrapped up the week with a 67-42 victory over Lorain. … The Mustangs at Strongsville also knocked off Rocky River, 64-50. … Westlake came back from its overtime loss to Rocky River with a 50-36 win against Bay. … Midview’s 54-53 loss to North Olmsted dropped it outside the top 10 and was replaced by Columbia, who defeated Firelands, 57-33, on the road. The Raiders will go on the road to play Elyria (Dec. 27) and Perkins (Dec. 28) in back-to-back games. … Keystone defeated Clearview, 58-17, to remain undefeated in the Lorain County League. The Wildcats will host Cuyahoga Heights (Dec. 28) to prepare for a clash with Columbia after the new year.
