Timely, accurate health information and data are a foundation to public health improvements.
To help increase access to local health data, Lorain County Public Health now publishes data briefs on its website, LorainCountyHealth.com/data, according to a news release.
“We serve and support a healthy community by making data-driven decisions,” said Lorain County Public Health Commissioner Mark Adams in the release. “We’re constantly looking at data to help us decide what to do next.
“We want other organizations to be able to do that too. Now, we can publish data more regularly to help community decision-makers and health advocates.”
In the past, Lorain County Public Health published health data once every three years through the Lorain County Community Health Assessment, according to the release.
Moving forward, Lorain County Public Health said it will publish data briefs on a rolling basis, according to the release.
