HalloWeekends for Cedar Point in Sandusky quickly is approaching.

With the upcoming popular fall season, the park is seeking to hire associates to fill several positions.

Most of these positions will offer up to $20 per hour for non tipped, non union affiliated spots, according to Cedar Point, which recently held a special hiring event at the recruitment center near the park.

However, Cedar Point still must fill positions.

“We have positions available in wide variety of areas, including food and beverage/culinary services, housekeeping/hotel accommodations, ride operations and more,” said Tony Clark, director of communications for Cedar Point. “Additionally, we also have HalloWeekends specific positions available such as family activity hosts and Screamsters.”

Last year, the park debuted an all new HalloWeekends experience with the introduction of “Mr. Midnight,” a specter known as the “Master of Scarymoanies,” who feeds off of nightmares and the dark.

“We celebrated 25 years of HalloWeekends last year, and we are always ready for more,” Clark said. “We hope to reignite guests greatest fears this year during the festivities.

“And in order to do so, we always need the staff.”

Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends also will feature a new Midnight Syndicate show following the Northeast Ohio band’s release of a new “Brimstone Club” album.

Titled “Echoes from The Brimstone Club with Midnight Syndicate,” the show will bring eerie experiences to a new location within the park, the Celebration Plaza Stage.

The show, according to Edward Douglas of Midnight Syndicate, is unlike anything the band has ever done, and is expected to offer a new experience for guests thanks to the new location.

Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends 26 will take place Thursdays through Sundays, Sept. 14 to Oct. 29.

“We are offering flexible scheduling and benefits, discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive associate-only events, free tickets and more,” Clark said. “We hope to see you then.”
