Two-out error dooms Crushers in 10-2 loss to Gateway

Visiting Gateway scored six runs in the third inning after the Crushers made an error with two outs, and the Grizzlies cruised to a 10-2 victory on Aug. 20 at Mercy Health Stadium.

Lake Erie (33-51) dropped its fourth game in its last five outings.

Crushers starter Matt Mulhearn  (5-6) gave up eight runs in five innings. He struck out five and walked three. Josh Rego hit a two-run double to account for Lake Erie’s scoring.

The Crushers travel to Florence for three games beginning Aug. 22.
