The Crushers racked up 16 hits, including five for extra bases, in an 8-3 romp over host Florence on Aug. 11.

Left fielder Jiandido Tromp was 3-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored. DH Scout Knotts was 3-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI. Second baseman Kenen Irizarry had three singles and scored a run.

Jonaiker Villalobos gave up one run in six innings to improve to 2-3.

Lake Erie (30-46) has won three of its past four. The series between the bottom two teams in the Frontier League West continues Aug. 12 at Florence.
