The Crushers were on their way to the first win in a week, but host Windy City rallied with six runs in the eighth inning to beat Lake Erie, 9-7, on Aug. 3.

The Crushers (27-42) have lost a season-high seven games in a row. They are now in last place in the Frontier League West.

Lake Erie first baseman Scout Knotts was 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a bases-loaded walk. Jack Harris also had two hits, including a triple.

The Crushers will look to get back in the win column when they begin a three-game series at Joliet on Aug. 4.
