Lorain County Fitness Walks has expanded into Amherst. The weekly walking group, promoted by the Lorain County General Health District, will be held at the Lorain County Metro Parks, Amherst Beaver Creek Reservation, 913 North Lake St., Amherst, at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday. The indoor walking track and dry-land equipment will be open to adults at the Mercy Health and Recreation Center in Amherst, 47160 Hollstein Drive, Amherst, during the same time. There is no cost to attend and all fitness levels are welcomed.
