The Oberlin Heritage Center, off South Professor Street in downtown Oberlin, offers guided 75-minute tours at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The center is closed on all major holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The tour features three beautifull preserved historic buildings furnished with historic artifacts and antiques that tell the story of life in Oberlin from its founding in 1833 to the early 20th century. There is a charge of $6 per person ($5 for AAA members) for the guided tour, and is free to children younger than 19 who are accompanied by a parent. There are discounts for school groups and members of Time Travelers and admission is free to Oberlin Heritage Center members. For details, visit
