Visiting Washington took the lead with a run in the top of the 10th inning and held the Crushers off the scoreboard in the bottom half to win, 6-5, on Aug. 26.
The Crushers led, 5-1, after three innings before the Wild Things rallied. They scored twice in the fourth inning to make it 5-3. In the sixth inning, they took advantage of two Crushers errors to score two runs and tie it at 5-5.
The Crushers had 12 hits, all singles. Josh Rego and Josh Rego each had three hits and an RBI. Sean Cheely hit a two-run single and John Tuccillo had an RBI single.
Lake Erie starter Matt Mulhearn pitched six innings and gave up five runs, three earned. He struck out three and walked two.
The Crushers fell to 35-54 overall and 22-28 at Mercy Health Stadium.
